Bio

Mrs. Booker primarily represents public and private employees in discrimination cases before administrative, federal, state and local proceedings as well as criminal and civil cases before administrative, federal, state and local proceedings.

She is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Southern Districts of Texas and all Texas state courts. Mrs. Booker is a member of the Harris County Criminal Lawyers Association, American Bar Association, Association of Women Attorneys, Houston Young Lawyers Association, Houston Bar Association, Houston Lawyers Association, Black Lawyers Association, National Bar Association and the American Association of Justice. Additionally, Mrs. Booker has been a speaker at numerous functions and seminars involving legal issues.
Mrs. Booker was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She attended University of Houston Honors College on a track scholarship in Houston, Texas, receiving her B.A. in Political Science/ Pre-Law in 2006 and being an intern for Texas State Senator Mario Gallegos. Mrs. Booker studied law at Thurgood Marshall School of Law and graduated in 2009. While in law school, she was the treasurer of her class and served as an intern at Perdue, Brandon, Fielder, Collins & Mott as well as Ilagan and Associates PLLC in Houston, Texas.
After graduating from law school in 2009, Mrs. Booker accepted employment at a boutique law firm specializing in employment, immigration and discrimination law. She later started her own law firm handling all aspects of law. She has handled employment-related issues in Federal court on issues such as wrongful terminations. She later started her own law firm handling all aspects of Federal Civil matters, Criminal law and Civil law. She has handled Constitutional-related issues across Texas on issues ranging from violations of search and seizure to due process.
Mrs. Booker has been a:

She was also awarded the The Wiley A Branton Award for civil rights advocacy. The Wiley A Branton Award is titled in honor of Wiley A. Branton, Sr., a prominent lawyer whose life embodied civil rights advocacy of the highest order. Each year, the National Bar Association presents this award to members of the legal and civil rights advocacy community whose efforts exemplify Branton’s commitment to civil and voting rights for all Americans.
