I'm a former hacker who regularly appears on hacker-related "top-10"​ lists (which I don't take very seriously, but find amusing enough to mention). I now work in journalism, writing, and penetration testing, with a focus on national security issues.

My work has been published in (inter alia) Forbes, The Guardian, Newsweek, Time, Network World, PandoDaily, Mobile Magazine, Pentest Magazine, and 2600 Magazine. My writing on Quora often receives over 2,000,000 views a month.

I worked with Army CID on the investigation of Wikileaks and Chelsea Manning (and in fact initiated the latter) among other cases, and continue to liaise with public and private concerns on infosec and natsec concerns.
